If your trying to drop a few LB’s before or during the holidays what is a realistic goal to shoot for?
If your trying to lose 10+ pounds a reasonable goal might be a small 300-500 calorie deficit.
Keep in mind this does not need to come from your diet alone. In fact, its actually better if it’s from both diet and exercise (especially strength training).
At that rate you should be at approximately 1/2 pound a week.
Not fast enough?
Keep in mind that if it comes off fast then chances are good that it might return just as fast.
Establish reasonable nutrition habits.
Think Keto is extreme. Don’t do it!
Everyone is different and response are equally different.
When you try a (new) diet stick to it for at least two weeks and then adjust.
BONUS: NEVER EVER NEVER (que Smokie from Friday’s) consider your attempt a failure just because the scale doesn’t show a dramatic drop.
If you ate more vegetables, increased your protein and made sleep a priority THAT is a win.
Keep going.
